Fantasy owl character design
I drew my character for a project, with appearance based on Strig folk from "Humblewood". His name is Shawn-Sherry.
He has some barn owl and small owl features. Shawn classifies as a swift strig, which fits his scouting and military inteligence profession. His parents are religious, so he carries symbols of religious pantheons his family believes in, too.

Final design
Choosing colors. The palette was to feature some camouflage potential while keeping character appeal.
Colors were quickly changed through gradient maps, layers and layer masks
Process and workflow. The decision to add the glasses to increase interest in the face area
was there from the beginning. But I added it as a separate layer to see how I can make it fancy and simple
